The  Victory Garden Project

Victory Gardens were originally developed to increase food production during World War II, empowering home gardeners to grow their own food.

We share that same mission today. As part of our city’s resilience network, we believe that true resilience isn’t just about preparing for emergencies—it’s about growing stronger together, from the soil to the soul.

With grocery store prices higher than ever, tackling food insecurity starts right in our own backyards; teaching people how to cultivate their own food builds lasting self-reliance. Plus, growing your own food means you are in complete control of exactly what goes into it and onto the plates of the people you feed. At Tandi Family Farms, we are dedicated to helping our community achieve this food independence at NO COST!

Looking Ahead: The 2027 Victory Garden Project

Ready to grow with us? Sign-ups for our 2027 Cohort will officially open this August! As you plan ahead, please note that we will kick off our journey together with a mandatory in-person meeting on October 15th. Mark your calendars early, as attending this meeting is required to participate in the cohort.

Stay tuned for location and timing details coming your way soon. Let's get ready to grow resilience from the ground up!
